The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is meant to monitor institutional performance, drive continuous improvement, track academic and administrative standards, and ensure compliance with NAAC frameworks.
However, in many universities, IQAC becomes a documentation consolidation unit, a report-generation committee, and a reactive compliance mechanism. This happens because institutional systems are fragmented. When admissions, academics, finance, and governance operate independently, quality metrics must be manually extracted, data consistency is difficult to validate, reports are retrospective, and continuous monitoring becomes impractical. Quality assurance cannot rely on periodic spreadsheets.
When IQAC depends on data exports from multiple systems, manual validation, cross-department reconciliation, and email-based documentation, quality monitoring becomes delayed, inconsistent, reactive, and resource-intensive. IQAC must operate on real-time institutional intelligence.
